Licenses and Qualifications

Our University has teacher training courses in all faculty departments.
Each department in the Faculty of Liberal Arts has a program for obtaining a first-class teaching certification for those teaching at junior and senior high school (English or Japanese), as well as certification for those teaching at kindergarten and elementary school. The Faculty of Human Life Studies has a program for a first-class teaching certification for junior and senior high school in home economics, as well as a first-class teaching certification for senior high school in information studies.

Additionally, the Faculty of Liberal Arts has training courses for librarians and Japanese teachers. In the Department of Child Education and Psychology, students can obtain qualifications in childcare or as JPA-certified psychologists. In the Department of Life Design and Information Science, students qualify to take architecture examinations (first class, second class and wooden structure). In the Department of Nutrition and Health Promotion, students can obtain certificates for dietitians and qualify to take the standardized examinations for national registered dietitians.

Our graduate school offers specialized teaching certificates for Japanese, English or home economics.
